Unbelievable i missed a whole week of challenges... browsing...
time management = 00000
this is all because of this really cool machine i purchased recently...
What?????
it a stamp maker by photocentric called the imagepac aka Teresa Collins Stampmaker Kits.
NOW, i can make my own stamps the way i like it. this is very important since i don't have much choices here in our craft shops and everything has to be ordered online. i've been on it day and night on it trying to make new stamps... here is my latest...

Going Crazy over Polka Dots
today is the last day for most of the challenges and i find that i'm stuck in the last minute to put down everything in my blog..i did the cards through out the week but i have yet again waited till last moment to publish everything and now i have about 3-4 posts in the blog only for today... well this me and technology, what can i say we have problems getting along... i hope i'll keep us next week...
anyways this card was inspired by is for Simon says Stamp and Show some Polka Dots and the colors were inspired by Moxie Fab World Color Inspirations for card week - The Jewel Tones Challenge. the little birdie is first sprayed with tattered angels spray and then inked with Adirondack acryic paint dabber and then glazed with a clear crackle.
check out the color tones Cath has given us. Moxie Fab challenges lasts until the end of the month and there are more color combos to pick from.... So Come Join in the Fun!!!!
Yin & Yang
The inspiration photo: for some reason it reminded me of Yin & Yang the Chinese philosophy of life... here is a picture
the yin and yang is described as how seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent and how they give rise to each other in turn. opposites thus only exist in relation to each other.
i really like this concept and aside from the philosophy i tried to use the two combination in to my creation...
here it is...
challenges i entered:
Gingersnap Creations: Once in a blue moon challenge: Ginspirations - Photo inspiration
The Shabby Tea Room: week #45 - White and Bright
ENJOY!!!

Colorful Layered Fragments
time for another Compendium of Curiosities Challenge at Studio L3. this one was by far the difficult one i've done from tim's book. actually this is the first time i tried it...to tell you the truth i've been sort of avoiding it.( don't know why?) it's little tough but one you get the hang of it'll run as smoothly as others...
few tips to doing the card:
the background is done by vertically brushing the tim holtz distress ink pads directly on to the card. the flowers are from thin foam, i hand stitched it to get the curly effect of the flower and pasted it to the card. the fragments of course are as simple and wonderful as tim states them to be.
Thanks Linda for posting and doing the CCC, it was only because of that i explored these fragments...
i hope you all like this

Going back to basics 101
alright, i thought doing single layered card for the Gingersnap Creation - Once in a blue moon: Ginspiration challenges was going to be one of the easiest challenges yet... BUT i tell you now i think it was the hardest one yet... i mean i had to think twice as hard to get this little piece done. i think we have gone so far on complexities in layering we kinda have forgotten about the basic card making... the simplicity of it. this card is inked, stamped then glittered with glitter glue and finally cracked with clear crackle.
so i think from now on i'll try my best to stick to some basics while doing the complicated... or should i say easier ones... any way i will try but no promises.

Another Masking Adventure
this is for the new Compendium of Curiosities Challenge # 27 @ Studio L3. alright, i know i'm going on the same trend ... but i can't help this... the tim holtx masks are too cool.. specially the web. it adds really great effects specially when i do love/ romance cards!!! sort of like a web of love!!!!
the heart is hand stitched first and pearls and other beads are added later. metal ribbon is outlined with gold metallic outliner and then used my lovely stamp for sentiment.
Cool effect huh!!!

Masking with Distress Inks
It seems Masking is taking up the week... here is me joining in the creative spirit.
Both Studio L3 & Simon Says Stamp & Show is holding masking challenges and this one is for Simon says stamp and show.
For the background its masking with tim holtz spider web with vintage photo and walnut stain distress inks and then stamped with a letter stamp. the heart is inked with fired brick and misted with red pearls to give a little glimmer and gold/ bronze flakes are added for extra effect.
Hope you enjoy this!!!!

A Glittery Puff
one of my friends had his anniversary last month and this is the card i made for him to give to his girlfriend. i used t!m's spiderweb mask to create the background with tattered angel mists. since i'm mostly a DIY girl i found these really cool designs from Celtic Letters and did a crack on it. the heart comes in the same design rage and i have added red puff and glitter.
tip: adding the glitter to the puff is little tricky, but what i did was to lightly heat the puff (powder or paste) and sprinkle glitter while its slightly wet. then add more heat to get the real puff effect.
