The Last Challenge

It is the end of Compendium of Curiosities Challenges Series hosted by Linda of Studio L3, though i joined a little late in to the competition, i have enjoyed every challenge, so i want to thank Linda for her wonderful contribution in bringing everyone of t!m craft lovers together, where ever they are in the world...
since it is the last one of the this series, i thought i'll do something about the man himself, King of Distress, here is my creation...

Charms

This one is again for Gingersnap Creations - Charms. I found this charm while going through a craft shop then colored it with alcohol ink, then added i found this epoxy flower put it on top. a lace was stitched in to a flower as a background. i found this really cool wire that i attached like a ribbon. i think the whole concept worked out nicely. here is a closer look.

Hope you enjoy!!!

Like a well oiled machine

This one was inspired by the new Gingersnap Creations - Get to work. i was thinking of a well oiled machine - came up with the concept of a father keeping the family running like a well oiled machine. so this was my creation for Get to Work of Gingersnap and Studio L3 - Dimensional Collage Fragments.

Have a great day!!!

Heart Coaster Exchange

I just finished off my heart coasters for Gingersnap Creations Heart Coaster Exchange, We have to make 4 unique coasters using hearts as a theme. My creations are here;

this one is all about different techniques put together, the background (if you can see it) is done with clear embossing powder, i love the water drop effect all over the coaster (reminds me sitting down near a window in a rainy day) the hearts are crackled and then glossed. the flower is sprayed with pink glimmer mist.

this is my favorite, 'cause of gesso, the background is done with alcohol inks, the frame was made of drying gesso unevenly, then adding glimmer sprays. inside is a sticker from Lord T!M's salvaged sticker - valentine collection.

another gesso, this time its the background, sides are covered with small pom poms, one heart is made with gold flakes and then glossed.

this one is simplicity at best, well not exactly, the frame was hand made like many of my stuff, this one was done with Sculpey - oven bake clay, the inside is a alcohol ink background stamped with sentiment. the 2 hearts are interesting piece i found in a store, don't know how to describe it, but it looks like tiny squares of foil... may be you have seen it and can describe it better....

I hope you enjoy this, i'll be sending this over now...
