for this week's challenge from Simon Says Stamp and Show Some Metal-ology, i decided to do something a little different… i wanted to decorate a cage that i bought off a craft shop.
the cage was blank and white and i dabbed it with a variety of alcohol inks to give it a very vintage look…
each side was then decorated with different embellishments…
the base for this cage was created with ginger, rust, black, caramel, hazelnut, cranberry and terra cotta alcohol inks...
front was decorated with some big flowers and roses, the big flower has a metal sprocket gear attached at the centre. tim's philosophy tag "inspire" was attached after adding some acrylic paint dabber
the top was decorated with tim's metal tinsel twine and flowers with rinestones
for one of the sides I added some more sprockets and the small tim's fractured doll after colouring it with alcohol inks and added butterfly wings from grunge board, which was coloured with seedless preserve and some distress stickles….
the back was covered with several more flowers with rhinestones and roses, the top side i added a gold crown charm
the final side has a tag that says birthday wishes which i'm planning to fill later… the small corked vile was filled with some pearls and gold beads and a note of love on having the best birthday…
Enjoy!!!
