Coffee and Cream

This is another creation for Gingersnap Creations - GC88: Color Challenge - Coffee and Cream. the background is done with all of tim holtz brown toned distress inks. starting with lighter shades - old paper, antique linen, vintage photo, tea dye, frayed burlap and ending with walnut stain. each bag is filled with coffee beans and tea leaves. stamped background complete the look.

wow!!! the smell of coffee beans is making me want to have a drink. so enjoy this post while i enjoy a cup of coffee.

Show some love with altered metal

its another challenge week from 3 of my favorite blogs - Simon Says Stamp and Show Some Love and Studio L3 Challenges to CCC #30 with Altered Metal with Paint and Gingersnap Creations GC 88 - Color Challenge - Coffee and Cream.
this is my creation for both challenges... in celebration of love a cupid and small metal frame done in accordance to loard tim's decree... The colors were inspired by Gingersnap Creation color challenge.

Coffee Filter Fan

The coffee filter challenge over at Gingersnap Creations (GC86: Spicy Supply) gave me an idea to use the coffee filter as a fan. as you can see its embossed with clear embossing powder and inked. the background is inked with spun sugar distress ink and the tree is inspired by 'cherry blossom' or sakura. here is a close up...
