its another day for a simon says stamp and show challenge, this time it's all about Shabby Chic!!!
in order to bring the elements of Shabby Chic, i wanted the card to have laces and pearls…. so for the centre, i sewn on a heart from red felt and stuffed in with cotton to make it stand out, it was then covered with copper wire and pearls…
the background was created with victorian velvet and vintage photo and little bit of peeled paint from script stamp and also a swirls stamp
in order for the heart to stand out from the background i stitched a lace in to a circle and adhered it in between the heart and card….
i think that the pearls, lace and the colours make it very shabby chic!!!

AJ...your card is so pretty! I really love the predominantly Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo background. That script stamping is an excellent background for shabby chic! :) Your dimensional heart at the center of your card is very cool. Having placed it on top of the stitched lace really does add that shabby chic feeling to the heart wrapped in wire. The little pearls are also very sweet and add a vintage feeling.
